As most missionaries spend the majority of their time with the
local community they often find their homes, churches, schools, etc in a great deal of need for maintenance and repair.
Maintenance and repair covers a broad range of demands from basic skills such as painting, sanding and varnishing to
more demanding tasks such carpentry, plumbing and electrical installation.
This ministry strives to be effective and sustainable by involving the
local community in the tasks that are at hand. An additional task is the placement of vegetable gardens which strives
to enable the missionaries to be self-sufficient in a small way. And as most mission stations are a place of refuge
for many neglected people, Mustard Seed 1720 endeavour to make the station more comfortable and welcoming.
This is achieved through the building of tree houses, basketball hoops, swimming pools and other recreational activities.
